About Me
Being a Greek American woman, I have always had a close connection to architecture and design. Even as a little girl, I remember going to Athens and always being in complete awe of The Parthenon, and honestly every ancient ruin that came in sight. It made me feel a great connection to my roots, knowing that my ancestors created something so beautiful with such great meaning behind it. This sparked a fire in me, and the question of "What do you want to be when you grow up Christiana?" became an immediate, easy answer. "An architect and designer, just like my dad," was my new response. My father has been an amazing, positive influence in my life. I have always looked up to his work, and he inspired me to follow this career path. Being an immigrant from a small island in the Mediterranean, he always knew what he wanted to do with his life, which was to become an architect. After seeing him elevated as a Fellow of the AIA and having the opportunity to be at the ceremony, I was utterly inspired. His dedication, passion, and hard-work is beyond admirable to me, and is what fueled my drive to go into this field.
